I have been a fan of MovieScore Media for a while now so it’s a very good feeling to be released on that great label. Ave Mater (Vilsen) is a score I am very proud of. Click HERE to go to MovieScore Medias page about the score.
Composing the score meant me setting out on a journey to create something dark, exciting and filled with suspense, but not horror. Rasmus was rather clear that he felt that the music should be the ‘beating heart and soul of the film’, a true guide throughout the story. To work with a couple of clear themes got important with the choir and the cello became crucial to capture the feeling of the occult.
The app game Conduct This! Keep on geting praise worldwide and now also nominated at the 13th International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA).
What a year it has been for Simon Kölle!
It all began with finishing the last couple of cues for Vilsen (Ave Mater), making some additional music for the short Gola Inte, making some music to a roleplaying game, a logo and making the music for a computer game.
After doing a commercial Simon finished the music to the, later on, several award winning short “Legend of Dark Rider: The begining”, who became a hit. Composing for yet another commercial – this time Grabber screws and then start working on a app game called Conduct This! A game that’s now a huge hit and on the toplists in many countries. Simon revisited the game many month’s later to make even more music.
Then Simon finally made his Hollywood debut compsoing the music for The Perfect Weapon (2016) directed by Titus Paar who also directed Legend of Dark Rider: The Begining. Right after that Simon made some improvational music fot the Event/LARP The Solution were the participants listened to the music nonstop for 48 hours.
Simon helped his friends Pixelbeast at The Game Assembly out with composing the music to their examination computer game Zvonar.
Simon produced and composed the music for the short film #Ingenskitiminkropp which is a film about doping in martial arts. The film will be released early 2017. Director Richard Jarnhed co produced and directed the film.
Late in the summer, Simon started to compose music for americal trailers together with director Rasmus Tirzitis. A total of 6 trailers were done during the autumn. Simon also founded the trailer music group called STK Group.
Simon composed the music for two commercials for the company BEX with Titus Paar as the director.
Simon started working with Paradox Interactive on a small project that could lead to more. Director/editor Rasmus Tirzitis created the final trailer for Vilsen (Ave Mater) and Simon composed the music.
Director/writer Richard Jarnhed created 4 event films for Hotell Kung Carl and Simon both composed the music and worked with sound design on the project.
In November and December Simon, together with Joel Forssell, composed the music for Vitt Skräp (White Trash) yet again but this time with a different sound and approach. As some small changes are left to do early 2017 it will be counted as a 2017 production.
Writing and Producing
Together with long time friend Richard Jarnhed they founded the platform Tulpa Creatives which will work in many constellations and with different projects. The first Tulpa Creatives projects were the Hotel-films and the drama documentary #Ingenskitiminkropp.
Tulpa Creatives have during some time now developed a TV Series (with Henrik Summanen and Joel Forssell) and late in december Simon and Richard started yet another project together with actor and executive producer Mattias Lundberg. The two projects differ a lot in both style and scope. More information will come on www.tulpa.nu
Simon was also one of the producers of Vilsen (Ave Mater) and was responsible for making a distribution deal and much more.
Last but not least Simon kept on writing for martial arts on www.fightermag.se and worked as sports commentator.
Several interesting projects are about to take form. Simon will early in 2017 compose the music for a feature film and record an orchestra in Lisabon. The developing of two different TV series will be something Simon work a lot with. Simon is open for job offers and collaborations as a composer, composer and writer. Simon’s main focus is always composing though but the love for writing and producing are close second.
