Completed the score for Vitt Skräp (White Trash)

After five years in the making. Me and my fellow composer on this score, Joel Forssell, did a version of this score for some 4 years ago but as the edit changed and the look as well, we and the director felt that we needed an almost completely new score. Only 3-4 cues (of 41) was kept from the earlier version and during august and September we have finished the new score for this Crime/Thriller set in a small town in Sweden during the 80s.
Now we have handed the score over to the celebrated and esteemed Sound mixer/editor/designers Ken Skoglund and Lasse Liljeholm.

Plot: In a Swedish town in the 80s, two strangers ends up by accident in the middle of a drug deal.

Hectic times

I love to work and both to compose, write, develope and produce. As I am working hard with finishing Svartsjön (Black Lake) I have also shifted up a gear as a Film Producer. In the middle of January I sent a team, lead by the director Titus Paar, to Colombia. Along with the team came the famous swedish musician Moneybrother (Anders Wendin). They stayed in Colombia for two weeks helped out building a school in the jungle, gave away soccer shoes to kids in Bogota and much more. It will end up being a documentary in the end. As they were there they, rather spontaneous, made a music video which was released on Expressen the other day.

I am also working with development of several other projects ranging from a TV-series to features and also another documentary.

I am now looking for interesting composing jobs that I can dive into after I have completed the TV-series in may.

Exciting season composing two features and more

Things are happening rather rapidly for Simon that does hit his stride composing the scores for no less than two feature films the following month’s (“Vilsen” aka “The Loss” & “Vitt Skräp” aka “White Trash”). Vitt Skräp Simon Kölle is composing together with his friend and colleague Joel Forssell and Vilsen Simon is doing himself. More news and updates about Vilsen and Vitt Skräp will follow the coming months.

Aside of that Simon is right now in the mix of maybe being the composer of a AAA game and several of his recently made short’s, teasers and pilots will be screened at festivals or up and running in other forums. Here’s a short description of the latest shorts/teasers/pilots Simon has written the score for:
