Release of Conduct This! Game Music Soundtrack

The Game, Conduct This! Began as a mobile app game created by a small indie studio in Copenhagen called Northplay. The game, inspired by railway games from the 90s, with low poly maps that’s addictive. It’s a puzzle game where you are conducting / managing a train system so that there are as few accidents as possible.

Many reviewers celebrated the graphics, calling it gorgeous and the music outstanding and that the controls are incredibly simple and intuitive, and the puzzles themselves are challenging. My Music, Northplay, wanted me to be inspired by old games from the 90s and Big Band Jazz. A fun task to tackle.

Soon the game became a hit and it won awards on some of the biggest possible award shows for games. Millions upon millions downloaded the app and Northplay started to create more games in what would become a series of games for different platforms surround Conducting trains. Also, an AR version with the focus on Western movies, a collaboration game and a game for the platform STEAM.

Many have asked me to release the Music so here we go. It is now released digitally all over the world. Check it out on places like Spotify, Apple/Itunes, Google Play, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, You can also get it/listen to it at: TikTok, Napster, IHeartRadio, ClaroMusica, Saavn, Anghami, KKbox, MediaNet and even more places. For you in the US the album can also be found on Pandora.

Composing for Film and TV

I am fortunate to have worked diligently and continuously with composing music for film, tv and other projects (mostly before I switched gears to composing for tv, film and games, 2009). In the picture above are some of the projects I have composed for during the last 19 years. As a film composer I have worked professionally for 10 years now, my first album came out 19 years ago (in November).

I am now celebrating 6 years as a Film Producer and I am 100 % sure I will never stop composing music. Right now, I am about to finish my score for the “Viking Saga: Rune of the Dead”.

Here’s a couple of qoutes:

Ave Mater News

Ave Mater (Vilsen) got 8.2 of 10 in the Magazine Soundtrack Dreams. Check it out and here are a couple of qoutes:

“As the main story in the movie is the occult, Simon Kolle goes on with both the choir and the cello to express that musically. I must admit the music is alluring and I want to know more, the composer manages to infuse his cues with the fascination of the occult.”

“Call me crazy but there were moments when I felt a gust of Hitchcock passing through this score, better said a gust of Bernard Herrmann like suspense. All in all “Ave mater” is an interesting listen on its own.”

“It’s little things like the way Simon Kolle uses the voices and choir throughout this score that make me want to pay attention to his future works. The way he side steps generic music and filler cues also make me really enjoy his composition. There are little exciting and unexpected nuggets of music in almost every cue. It might be my vivid imagination inspired by the music but the way “A slit throat” is constructed. sounds to me like the blood quietly flowing out of that throat.”
Mihnea Manduteanu, Soundtrack Dreams

Ave Mater is due to be released in Japan and the date the film will air on Japanese national TV is the 4th of january 2018.

Conduct AR!

I will be working on a spin off of the super popular and Award winning game (which I composed to Music for) Conduct This! At this Point I cannot reveal the theme of the game but I am sure it will be soon. Check out this announcing video from Northplay.

Note: in the announcment video it’s only Music from the old game.

What a year!

On the premier of The Perfect Weapon (2016) and The Legend of Dark Rider: The Beginning

What a year it has been for Simon Kölle!

THE MUSIC

It all began with finishing the last couple of cues for Vilsen (Ave Mater), making some additional music for the short Gola Inte, making some music to a roleplaying game, a logo and making the music for a computer game.

After doing a commercial Simon finished the music to the, later on, several award winning short “Legend of Dark Rider: The begining”, who became a hit. Composing for yet another commercial – this time Grabber screws and then start working on a app game called Conduct This! A game that’s now a huge hit and on the toplists in many countries. Simon revisited the game many month’s later to make even more music.

Then Simon finally made his Hollywood debut compsoing the music for The Perfect Weapon (2016) directed by Titus Paar who also directed Legend of Dark Rider: The Begining. Right after that Simon made some improvational music fot the Event/LARP The Solution were the participants listened to the music nonstop for 48 hours.

Simon helped his friends Pixelbeast at The Game Assembly out with composing the music to their examination computer game Zvonar.

Simon produced and composed the music for the short film #Ingenskitiminkropp which is a film about doping in martial arts. The film will be released early 2017. Director Richard Jarnhed co produced and directed the film.

Late in the summer, Simon started to compose music for americal trailers together with director Rasmus Tirzitis. A total of 6 trailers were done during the autumn. Simon also founded the trailer music group called STK Group.

Simon composed the music for two commercials for the company BEX with Titus Paar as the director.

Simon started working with Paradox Interactive on a small project that could lead to more. Director/editor Rasmus Tirzitis created the final trailer for Vilsen (Ave Mater) and Simon composed the music.

Director/writer Richard Jarnhed created 4 event films for Hotell Kung Carl and Simon both composed the music and worked with sound design on the project.

In November and December Simon, together with Joel Forssell, composed the music for Vitt Skräp (White Trash) yet again but this time with a different sound and approach. As some small changes are left to do early 2017 it will be counted as a 2017 production.

Writing and Producing

Together with long time friend Richard Jarnhed they founded the platform Tulpa Creatives which will work in many constellations and with different projects. The first Tulpa Creatives projects were the Hotel-films and the drama documentary #Ingenskitiminkropp.

Tulpa Creatives have during some time now developed a TV Series (with Henrik Summanen and Joel Forssell) and late in december Simon and Richard started yet another project together with actor and executive producer Mattias Lundberg. The two projects differ a lot in both style and scope. More information will come on www.tulpa.nu

Simon was also one of the producers of Vilsen (Ave Mater) and was responsible for making a distribution deal and much more.

Last but not least Simon kept on writing for martial arts on www.fightermag.se and worked as sports commentator.

2017

Several interesting projects are about to take form. Simon will early in 2017 compose the music for a feature film and record an orchestra in Lisabon. The developing of two different TV series will be something Simon work a lot with. Simon is open for job offers and collaborations as a composer, composer and writer. Simon’s main focus is always composing though but the love for writing and producing are close second.

Music for games

Simon have revisited the wonderful game Conduct This on which he composed the soundtrack for back in in march/april. The game needed four versions of one of the two major themes. This app game might very well become a hit!

Simon has also made some Music for Paradox Interactive. Due to the contract nothing can be revealed right now.

Music to Computer Game Zvonar

“The demons of the forest have fallen into a deep slumber, and it’s up to the little forest spirit to wake them… with huge bells!”

Simon kept his promise to compose music to the friends Pixelbeast at The Game Assembly and Zvonar is their grand examination game at the school. Zvonar is inspired by games such as Ori and the Blind Forest. The result is a stunningly beautiful game with music that touches the soul.

Zvonar is a magical sidescroller adventure based on Slavic mythology and legend. All of the demons of the forest have fallen into a deep slumber, and it’s up to the little forest spirit to wake them… with huge bells! But be careful, for there is a dragging, loathsome anger lurking about that just wants everyone to shut up and let it return to its slumber…
