I am fortunate to have worked diligently and continuously with composing music for film, tv and other projects (mostly before I switched gears to composing for tv, film and games, 2009). In the picture above are some of the projects I have composed for during the last 19 years. As a film composer I have worked professionally for 10 years now, my first album came out 19 years ago (in November).
I am now celebrating 6 years as a Film Producer and I am 100 % sure I will never stop composing music. Right now, I am about to finish my score for the “Viking Saga: Rune of the Dead”.
Simon has just recently composed music for a Grabber (screws) film and Arne Thuresson Bygg that are the distributors (www.grabber.se). Simon will do more work with Grabber and Arne Thuresson Bygg later on. Grabber have some awesome screws all you builders should check out!
Simon has also been doing music for a danish company known as Robocat who (among other things) build really good iOS apps. The music is for a game the studio is creating right now (more info later).

Things are happening rather rapidly for Simon that does hit his stride composing the scores for no less than two feature films the following month’s (“Vilsen” aka “The Loss” & “Vitt Skräp” aka “White Trash”). Vitt Skräp Simon Kölle is composing together with his friend and colleague Joel Forssell and Vilsen Simon is doing himself. More news and updates about Vilsen and Vitt Skräp will follow the coming months.
Aside of that Simon is right now in the mix of maybe being the composer of a AAA game and several of his recently made short’s, teasers and pilots will be screened at festivals or up and running in other forums. Here’s a short description of the latest shorts/teasers/pilots Simon has written the score for:
During the work with Drakar och Demoner – Tronländaren (Thronelander) Simon worked with no less than 40 musicians including a choir. In this video (in Swedish) you can get an insight in the work with the score. Simon like to thank Joel Forssell, the musical assistant and Andreas Doyle who filmed and edited this behind the scenes video. Simon also, of course, like to thank the whole crew and the music department.
A special appearence, in this video, is made by none other than Olle Sahlin who worked with the roleplaying game Drakar and Demoner during the 80s and 90s. Olle end this video with talking about the history and importance of the roleplaying game.
The Monitor Celestra was a great LARP taking place in the Battlestar Galactica Universe with participants from about 30 countries from all of the world. The game was played on the Destroyer called Småland which in Gothenburg. A film crew (Fish and Elephant) documented the project and it resulted in the video (with music from the cues composed by Simon and his friend Joel Forssell). Fish and Elephant is by the way the same production company that made “Drakar och Demoner: Tronländaren” and actually came about to do this small documentary because of Simon.
Edward James Olmos, famous from Battlestar Galactica, Dexter and Miami Vice has seen this video and liked it a lot.
The following projects and news are presented in this news article:
Smitten, The Box, Fightplay.tv, Mixed Martial Arts – Myter, Fakta, Möten, Drakar och Demoner: Tronländaren – Behind the Scenes, Septekh, Heroes Fighting Championship and The Monitor Celestra – Larp event of the decade.
Simon is for sure not slowing down 2013. Here’s a chronology since last update:
Simon is working close with A Small Village Productions which create artistic video productions. This time the director Jaser Davari travelled to the US to make a video blog about Dominick Cruz, a UFC champion, who’s about to defend his title. Simon has made the theme song, sound design and most probably will more of his music end up in the series. Take a look at the first episode above where you can here Simon’s theme song both in the begining and the end.
