Update

First and foremost, I am a happy man as I have become a father to a lovely girl which we named Hilma Astrid Flora Kölle. I love her with all my heart. She was born the 19th of august.

I feel so grateful that I have had several projects running during this pandemic. I have kept on building my production company and developing a film with Swedish Film Institute. I have also been dipping my toes into the video game world (as always it’s a lot of secrecy so I cannot say any more about it right now) and started the work composing the music to the TV series Dystopia.

I have also had two feature film documentaries (as a film producer) in post-production. To oversee the work from our brilliant co workers have been a blast.  One documentary is about a very dear subject to me = mental health among young people. The other is a music documentary about Sweden’s first true Glam rock band “Tears”.

Scoring TV-series: Dystopia

I am composing the music for the TV-series Dystopia, a VIAPLAY original TV-series produced by Jarowskij.
It is currently being filmed in central Sweden.

Dystopia is a Swedish horror series that features rising stars Madeleine Martin Johan Hafezi, Erik Bolin and Happy Jankell. . It is scheduled for premiere on Viaplay in 2021.

From the  press release:

“The next original production from Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group), the Nordic region’s leading streaming company, is Swedish horror series `Dystopia’. A chilling tale of supernatural powers unleashed during a post-apocalyptic Nordic LARP inside a factory in the Swedish forests, `Dystopia’ features a star cast of new Nordic talents and will premiere exclusively across the region on NENT Group’s Viaplay streaming service in 2021.

For a group of thrill-seeking young Swedes, an abandoned Cold War-era factory deep in the wilderness seems the ideal setting for a live roleplay designed to push them to their physical and mental limits. But the game soon turns deadly serious when a series of mysterious events unfold, awakening dark forces.

`Dystopia’ stars Madeleine Martin (NENT Group’s `ALEX’), Johan Hafezi (`Jägarna’), Happy Jankell (NENT Group’s `The Ambassador’), Erik Bolin (NENT Group’s `ALEX’), Johan Hedenberg (`The Perfect Patient’), Lola Zackow (NENT Group’s `Conspiracy of Silence’), Erika Cardenas Hedenberg (`The Restaurant’), Maja Rung (NENT Group’s `Honour’) and Christian Svensson (`24′).

The eight-part production is based on an idea by director Richard Jarnhed and producer Lotta Westberg, both of whom worked on NENT Group’s successful `Black Lake’ original series.”

I am really looking forward to compose the music for Dystopia. Director Richard Jarnhed mentions films and TV-series like “Chernobyl”, “Black Lake season 1″, Jacobs Ladder”,  “Black Swan”, “Alien” and “Rosemary’s Baby” as some of the inspiration.

2019 – A Good Year

2019! It’s been awesome!

I have been working on lots of inspiring, exciting and interesting projects with many great people this year.
Building the Production Company Tulpa Creatives has been demanding and very awarding. We have several projects in development. We are looking forward to 2020 were we will be producing several projects (more on those later on). It’s so much more I could say about this, but I need to keep the lid on for now.

2019 I have finally taken the leap into Digital Releases and 7 albums were released on different labels. Make sure to check out my artist page on Spotify and follow (and of course listen).

My score for The Huntress: Rune of the Dead was completed and released the same day as the film had it’s premier in October. The score has been competing on two festivals, winning on one and been nominated on another. The score has also been given great reviews. I was also one of the Producers of the film and have won awards for that too.

Finally the work I made as a Composer and Producer for Svenska Budo & Kampsportsförbundet was released, I composed the music to a Drama/Comedy TV-series Pilot, made 5 commissioned pieces for Riotminds Trudvang Chronicles: Muspelheim, Produced and Composed music for a commercial and composed music for Podcast’s such as Red Moon Roleplaying.

Together with Joel Forssell I composed the music to the Feature Vitt Skräp (White Trash) that’s finally completed – after many years of getting funding for post-production. The film should have a Theatrical release 2020. With Joel I also had the podcast Musik i Film which I put on ice to work on another podcast which will kick off in 2020 too.

For the second year I hosted and was the chairman of the jury of Film Music Live Festival. I love to be part of that production and looking forward to being involved in it growing.

My work within Distributing and Executive producing has been developed further and I have had the pleasure to work on a couple of films together with Lucky Dogs and my international Distributors/Sales Agents.

I have also been a commentator on three MMA events, two for American TV (Superior Challenge) and one for Aftonbladet (Bulldog Media Fight Night 2.0). I have also been a permanent member of Fighterpodden which is recorded at Bauer Media (DN-huset).

Thanks to everyone who I have worked with this year!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year

The Mixing of White Trash

”White Trash” or” Vitt Skräp” (in Swedish) has been delayed and delayed several times but finally it’s close to be a finished movie. The Score, me and Joel Forssell, completed in September and last night I did some final changes as the sound and music is being mixed by the great Ken Skoglund and Lasse Liljeholm. Looking forward to a theatrical release 2020.

Wonderful Reviews of The Huntress: Rune of the Dead Soundtrack

The Score I made for “The Huntress: Rune of the Dead” have been given love from many media outlets all over the World. I am very greatful for it. Here are some qoutes from the Reviews:

“There is a dark and deep almost guttural pulsating and ominous sound to the score, with even the more melodious moments including an underlying sense of uneasiness. The composer also gives the work a folk or rustic sound via the instrumentation he brings into play to create a dramatic but at the same time a pleasing soundtrack. The score also features the work of Swedish Artist and performer who Mohlavyr places her own unique sound upon the work which is ethereal and alluring. The track THE VIKING FAMILY is probably the best cue in which to hear the combined efforts of the composer and artists Runberg and Mohlavyr. It is a haunting and very enjoyable listening experience, with subtle musical colours and an assortment of textures combining to fashion an attractive and somewhat hypnotic sound. There are numerous sounds and styles within this work, it has to it a subtleness in places, and intimacy and fragility, but there is also a raw, driving and hard-hitting musical entity that raises its head every so often to great effect. The combination of so many sounds and styles make for a soundtrack that is innovative and entertaining.”
